Truck Wheel Alignment - What is the vehicle you need to align?
Part 1

At first, it should be clarified that when we say "trucks" we mean the big vehicles (lorries, camion or TIR).
All smaller trucks like IVECO Daily, FIAT Ducato, FORD Transit can be all aligned with standard accessories for Cars that covers up to 21" wheels.

All FASEP wheel aligners can be equipped with accessories to align Trucks.
You can have all VIDEOLOGIC types for trucks and ATOMIC, DUALTRONIC and UNITRONIC. All units can be used on trucks just with necessary adapters (up to 26" rim diameter) and with or without special sensors.
All units, simply, can have a truck version.

We have designed different solution for different needs.
So the basic question is: what kind of vehicle do you need to align?

1. I mostly do alignment on cars - very few alignment for trucks
the best way is order the base unit and add TRUCK ACCESSORIES (code depend on which model of wheel alignment you order > check "Optional Accessories" of the unit you select).
To align Trucks, you will use the same CAR SENSORS you have selected for your base unit.
This solution makes it very easy to work on cars and it is economically the cheapest way to align trucks as well.
Of course, aligning trucks may not be as easy and fast as when you use specifically a system specifically designed for trucks. But we have just assumed that alignment on truck is not done frequently in this case.

2. I align trucks only
the best solution for this is to order the base unit with AVANT or AVANT2 sensors and of course the trucks accessories. In this way working on trucks will be very easy and this is the best way to work on trucks, as we designed it especially.
2A. I only align the front axle, occasionally one axle at a time
In this case AVANT sensors are the easiest way to work on Trucks: these are a 2-sensor system, so you work on 2 wheels at a time. Eventually you can also have the Trust angle correction, but system is basically designed to adjust only the Front axle of trucks.
2B. I align any type of truck (2-3-4 or more axles)
AVANT2 sensors are the most advanced solution: they are a 4-sensors system, so you work on 4 wheels at a time (or 2 axles at a time). They are the best choice if you work on long vehicles or twin steering vehicles.

3. I do align a lot of cars and a lot of truck , but I want to do it with the same computer (cars with cars sensors - trucks with AVANT/AVANT2 sensors)
this is the most complete way to work and we have the best solutions in both the case of Cars and Trucks.
This solution is especially designed when using a computerized unit like VDP, but is also available on Dualtronic.
On Dualtronic you will be able to use the handy sensors and accessories in case of Cars, and use the AVANT sensors and Trucks accessories in case of aligning trucks. The easiest way and most precise way to work.
On a computerized units like VDP unit, you can use WinIRIS / WinTRAX sensors and use the AVANT/AVANT2 sensors with a secondary ATOMIC module to align Trucks in the best and easiest way.
